Thomas A. Karet, Managing Partner
Mr. Karet is primarily responsible for ECHO’s operations. Mr. Karet brings nearly 15 years of legal practice involving sophisticated venture capital and private equity transactions and financings, as well as hands-on real estate experience to ECHO Services. Prior to joining ECHO Services, Mr. Karet was a partner in the private equity group of the Chicago office of the law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, and was associated with the New York City office of the law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, LLP.  He is a graduate of Amherst College and a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center.

Bruce E. Haney, Managing Partner
Bruce E. Haney is primarily responsible for ECHO’s development function.  From March 1, 2000 until March 31, 2001, he served as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of iGate Capital Corporation. Mr. Haney served as Chief Financial Officer of FORE Systems, Inc. from June 1998 to December 1999 and as President and Co-Founder of the Gustine Company from June 1986 to June 1998.  Prior to founding the Gustine Company, Mr. Haney worked for Arthur Andersen LLP for six years. Mr. Haney has a Master’s Degree in Taxation from DePaul University, a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Pennsylvania.

Aaron J. Savin, Vice President, Leasing
Mr. Savin is responsible for ECHO’s retail group. Mr. Savin was formerly Vice President of Retail Services with Grubb and Ellis. He brings more than a decade of commercial leasing and development services to ECHO. He conducted successful roll-outs of western Pennsylvania area stores for Pier I Imports, Michaels, Best Buy, and disposition efforts for K-Mart throughout Pennsylvania. Mr. Savin has also assisted in the development and leasing of several major shopping centers including Montour Church At The Pointe, Plaza At The Pointe, and Cranberry Square. Mr. Savin is a graduate of Michigan State University and received an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. Mr. Savin is the Pennsylvania Operations Co-Chairman of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Philip A. Bishop, Vice President, Engineering
Mr. Bishop is responsible for ECHO’s engineering group. Prior to joining ECHO he was a manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. with over 20 years experience in the real estate development and engineering industry. Mr. Bishop has been involved with numerous Target, Lowe's and Wal-Mart developments throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. He also managed design efforts associated with the Pittsburgh Mills Galleria Mall and The Waterfront and has represented numerous municipal and county governments. He is a graduate of Geneva College with a Bachelor or Science in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. He also is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, American Society of Civil Engineers and the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association.

John C. Palovsky, Vice President, Construction
Mr. Palovsky is responsible for ECHO’s construction management group. Mr. Palovsky is a 22-year veteran of the real estate development and construction industry. He was the former Vice President of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance at Phar-Mor, Inc. Mr. Palovsky has extensive retail development and construction experience having held similar positions with Crown American Corporation, K-Mart Corporation and J.C. Penney Company. Mr. Palovsky is a graduate of Greensburg Technical Institute with an Associate’s degree in architecture and has successfully completed in excess of $1.5 billion in construction.

John R. Thomas, Vice President, Finance
Mr. Thomas is responsible for ECHO’s accounting group. Mr. Thomas has spent 11 of the past 15 years either in public or private accounting with an emphasis on real estate syndication modeling, tax and financial due diligence, and business valuation. Mr. Thomas was formerly a special projects consultant for Louis Plung & Company where he was involved in various projects including acting as a consultant to Giant Eagle and ECHO. Mr. Thomas is a 1991 graduate of Penn State the Behrend College where he received his BS in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Pennsylvania.
